COMPETITOR PROFILE
ARASH FARHANG

Born in Esfahan, Iran. Lived in Singapore from the age of 2-13, and now lives in Salt Lake City, UT.

Q: How long have you been juggling?
A: Since the 6th grade, but seriously for the last 3-4 years

Q: How did you learn how to juggle?
A: There was a circus club at my old school in Singapore which got me interested.

Q: Why did you keep juggling?
A: It looked fun to do. I stopped doing it once I had learned 100 catches of 5 balls because of skateboarding. I saw the 1st WJF on ESPN though and
that has kept me going with it again.

Q: Why do you want to compete in the WJF competitions?
A: I like to push myself to get better, but most of all I just find the competitions to be a lot of fun.

Q: What are your goals in juggling, technically and professionally?
A: Technically to get better while achieving perfection. I do not plan to juggle professionally though I plan to become an electrical engineer. Juggling is just an addiction to me.

Q: What kind of training has been the most beneficial in progressing your juggling skills?
A: Consistent practice 6-7 days a week and concentration on perfection, not trying the hardest tricks all the time. Feedback from other jugglers has also helped a lot.

Q: What has had the most influence on your juggling?
A: The WJF, meeting with other jugglers, and seeing what is possible through juggling. I am not the most
creative person, but watching others be creative does give me inspiration.

See Arash Farhang compete in the 2008 WJF Overall Championship at WJF 5, December 17th - 23rd, 2008 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
