In 2008 Lauge Benjaminsen from Denmark won the WJF Juniors Sponsorship Competition and received an all expense paid trip to WJF 5. And we're doing it again this year. Here's how it will work...
If you will be 15 years old or younger on July 25th, 2010 you qualify to compete in the juniors sponsorship competition. Applicants must produce a two-minute juggling video.* This video should demonstrate a WJF Juniors routine without any edits. Refer to the junior compulsory move list for more information. The video must be submitted to the WJF no later than May 1st, 2010. Winners will be announced on May 15th, 2010. If you have submitted your video for the video competition by May 1st, you'll be allowed a routine submission extension while you wait to find out if you won or not. If you do not win, you'll have to register, book your room and submit your routine form by May 21st if you still wish to compete.
Here are the sponsorship prizes the WJF will be awarding:
1st Place: All expense paid trip to WJF 6. This includes one roundtrip flight, one hotel room for two, WJF 6 Convention Package for two, and one track of competition music.
2nd Place: WJF 6 Convention Package for two (Must book room at Riviera Hotel through the WJF to qualify for free convention packages)
3rd Place: WJF 6 Convention Package for one (Must book room at Riviera Hotel through the WJF to qualify for free convention package)
So start training hard and get your videos to us by May 1st, 2010**. Who knows, your first WJF convention may be on us!
* Applicants must not have attended a WJF event in the past and must agree to compete in the Juniors competition at WJF 6 if they win first place.
** Videos can be sent in any video format playable through quicktime or windows media player. The higher the quality the better. You may also use a video hosting company such as youtube to upload the video or you can send the video through file sending services such as yousendit.com. Send video links to wjf6@thewjf.com (Do not send videos as attachments!)
